The rules of the road.

These terms set out the agreement between you and London Baithead when you use this site or the content we publish. Read them. By using londonbaithead.com, you accept them.

1. Who we are

    This site is operated by London Baithead Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16935452, with a registered office at 834 Hertford Road, Enfield, England, EN3 6UE (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “London Baithead”).

    References to “the Site” mean londonbaithead.com and any subdomains or related platforms we operate. References to “Content” mean all written articles, images, video, audio, branding, and design elements published on the Site.

    2. Acceptance of these terms

    By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, that you have read and understood these terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.

    If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

    3. Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the most recent “last updated” date. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.

    Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

    4. Use of the Site

    You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may:

    • Read and view our content for your own enjoyment
    • Share links to our articles on social media or in private communications
    • Quote short extracts in your own writing with clear attribution and a link back to the original article

    You may not:

    • Republish, copy, scrape, distribute, or sell our content in whole or in significant part without our written permission
    • Use automated systems, bots, or crawlers to harvest content or data from the Site beyond what is permitted in our robots.txt
    • Attempt to circumvent any security or access control on the Site
    • Use our content to train machine learning or AI models without our written permission
    • Misrepresent our content as your own, or strip attribution from articles, images, or video
    • Use the Site for anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or otherwise harmful

    5. Intellectual property

    All content on the Site is owned by London Baithead or used under licence. This includes article text, branding, the London Baithead name and logo, original photography, video, audio, and the design and layout of the Site.

    Third-party content (quoted material, embedded social posts, licensed images) remains the property of its respective owner and is used either under licence, with permission, or under fair dealing for the purposes of news reporting, review, or criticism.

    If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, contact legal@londonbaithead.com with full details and we will investigate.

    6. User-submitted content

    When you submit content to us, whether through the contact form, by email, in a comment, or by responding to a call-out, you grant London Baithead a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, edit, reproduce, and publish that content in connection with our editorial output.

    You confirm that:

    • You own the content or have the rights to share it
    • The content does not infringe anyone else’s rights
    • The content is not defamatory, unlawful, or misleading
    • You are happy for us to use it editorially, with credit where appropriate

    We are under no obligation to publish anything submitted. We may edit, shorten, or decline to use it.

    7. Comments and community conduct

    If commenting is enabled on the Site, you agree to keep things civil. We will remove and may report:

    • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
    • Defamation or content that exposes a third party to legal risk
    • Spam, scams, or commercial promotion outside an approved partnership
    • Personal data or doxing
    • Anything illegal

    We reserve the right to remove comments and ban users at our sole discretion.

    8. Third-party links and embedded content

    Articles on the Site often link to or embed third-party sources, social posts, video, and other content. We do not control those sources and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy. Visiting third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

    9. Accuracy and editorial independence

    We work hard to publish accurate, well-sourced journalism. Our editorial standards are set out in full in our Editorial Policy. Where we make a mistake, we correct it in line with our Corrections Policy.

    Content on the Site is provided for general information and commentary. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Always seek qualified advice before acting on anything you read here.

    10. Brand partnerships and sponsored content

    London Baithead operates alongside Baithead Studios, our sister business that handles brand partnerships and commercial work. Where content on the Site is sponsored, paid for, or produced in partnership with a brand, it will be clearly labelled. Editorial coverage is not influenced by advertising relationships.     11. Disclaimers

    The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site or its content, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for purpose, availability, or non-infringement.

    We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

    12. Limitation of liability

    Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

    Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, London Baithead will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site.

    Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the Site will not exceed £100.

    13. Indemnity

    You agree to indemnify and hold London Baithead, its directors, employees, contributors, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.

    14. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these terms.

    Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, indemnity, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.

    15. Governing law and jurisdiction

    These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and London Baithead agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
